According to recent reporting, a New England based noodle bar plans to open in Short North in the former home of White Castle at 965 N High St. Mecha Noodle Bar is an eatery that serves ramen, pho, dumplings and banh mi.

Currently, Mecha Noodle Bar is on pace to open in early 2024, according to the recent reporting. The eatery started in Connecticut in 2013 and has grown to seven locations in Massachusetts and Connecticut, with plans to open in Washington, D.C. and Denver in addition to Columbus, according to its website. What Now Columbus reached out to the eatery for further details on the opening, but didn’t receive an immediate response.

The menu features main dishes such as pho and ramen with add-ons that include proteins, oils and a variety of vegetables. Snacks include items like egg rolls, edamame, fried rice, banh mi and spare ribs. Additionally, the drink menu offerings are bubble tea, sake, cocktails, beer and wine, as well as coffee and soft drinks.
