According to a recent permit filing, a new bar, called Mainline Bar has plans to open at 216 E Main St, in a building that previously housed a pawn shop. The permit details that there will be no kitchen, so the bar likely won’t serve food, however, nearby eateries serving late night offerings include Mikey’s Late Night Slice, Hadley’s Bar and Kitchen and The Walrus.

The stretch of Main Street has seen changes and construction over the years, including the Columbus Love mural, which runs along the side of the building that will house Mainline Bar, as well as Harlow on Main Apartments, a newer development that opened in 2020.

What Now Columbus reached out to Mainline Bar to learn more about what may be served at the bar and if there are any plans to offer live entertainment at the establishment, but didn’t receive an immediate response.
