Columbus is getting a new Guy Fieri restaurant, located at 6000 S High St, according to a recent permit filing. The self-proclaimed “Mayor of Flavortown” and Food Network chef has over 15 concepts located throughout the U.S. and internationally. And, although there isn’t currently one of those concepts open in the area, Fieri has ties to Columbus, since the renowned chef was born in the city.

The permit doesn’t detail what type of food will be served, but some of Fieri’s concepts range from a burger focus, to a chicken tender restaurant, a Latin street food inspired eatery as well as a barbecue focused concept, a taco joint and pizza parlor.

What Now Columbus reached out to a representative with Guy Fieri’s restaurants for further details on the concept and an anticipated opening date, but didn’t receive a response to our request for comment.
