But the announcement about COhatch’s Powell location isn’t the only bit of news about what is coming to the city. As outlined in the article, the city isn’t just getting the new coworking and social space. The Powell historic downtown district is set to undergo a revitalization, with Matt Davis, the CEO and founder of COhatch, slated to be the lead developer for the project.
COhatch got its start in Columbus but has grown to include locations in cities in eight states, as well as locations in Cleveland and Cincinnati. With many of the locations in restored historic buildings, COhatch aims to revive old structures in the heart of neighborhoods across the cities they’re located in.
The spaces themselves act as more than simply a place to work, for entrepreneurs and startups to operate or for people to get together, according to its website, the company aims to improve lives, strengthen communities and equip people to be greater.
Currently, the timeline for opening the Powell COhatch is scheduled for next year. What Now Columbus reached out to Davis for comment on the forthcoming project, but a request for comment wasn’t immediately returned.
