According to an article on the website Dayton.com, a local Dunkin’ Donuts franchise group is planning to open a new location in the West Carrollton community at 801 E Dixie Dr. The site of the forthcoming donut chain was the former home of a Sonic Drive-In, which abruptly closed over Memorial Day Weekend.
Ohio-based franchise group The Gilligan Company, which serves as a franchisor for Subway, Popeyes and Dunkin’ Donuts and several convenience store chains, quickly announced their plans to convert the site into a new Dunkin’ Donuts, which the company currently aims to open by late quarter one of 2025.
Per information in the article, the company expects to start construction in the third quarter of this year, but at this point has not decided if the current structure will be renovated or if the company will tear down the building and proceed with new construction for this Dunkin’ Donuts location.
