According to a recently filed permit, a new Domino’s is coming to the Worthington area. The pizza chain has filed to perform renovations to an existing building, located at 6030 Busch Blvd, and remodel the kitchen area and interior of the former Wendy’s into a pizza space.

What Now Columbus reached out to the franchisee, Brian Edler, to learn more details about the forthcoming location, who shared that the eatery will keep the pick-up window, as well as the seating area, maintaining seating for over 20 guests. The establishment will also offer carryout and delivery service as well.

Edler is a seasoned franchisee, who has been with the pizza chain for over 40 years, and the opening of the Busch Boulevard location will mark his forty-third shop. He shared that the new location will feature some newer technology in the shop’s kitchen that helps the cooking time for pizzas and other baked items on the menu.

“We’ll have some new faster-baking ovens in this location. We’ve slowly been swapping out some of the ovens at our locations over the past several years.”

The newer ovens offer an even consistent bake that customers notice right away. And when it comes to cooking pizzas faster, Edler knows a thing or two about how to do it right.

He’s the current Guinness World Record holder, a title he earned over a decade ago, for the number of pizzas made in one hour. In December 2010, he baked and boxed 206 medium cheese pizzas in 60 minutes.

“A lot of people have tried to beat it, but they haven’t come close to that number,” Edler shared about his record.

Edler’s impressive ties to the company don’t end with his world record, since he’s also the creator of the parmesan bread bites that show up on Domino’s menus across the nation.

Although it’s early in the permitting process, the franchisee’s newest location is currently looking like it will open in early 2025.
