Although the eatery just opened in January of this year, the Taco John’s located at 4045 Wilmington Pike in Kettering has closed, according to information in a recent Dayton Daily News article. Meritage Hospitality Group brought the Wyoming-based taco chain to the Dayton area. However, the hospitality group has committed to bringing a new concept to the Wilmington Pike building.

The hospitality group is headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and the company is also the franchisee for over 300 Wendy’s located in numerous states, as well as the Michigan-based eateries Stan’s Tacos and the brunch concept Morning Belle.
Per information in the previous Dayton Daily News article, the franchise group has removed all the identifying signage at the Kettering restaurant and a printed note taped to the restaurant’s entrance states that the location is “closed for rebranding.” What Now Columbus reached out to a representative with Meritage Hospitality Group to learn about the new concept and the projected timeline for reopening, but the hospitality group didn’t immediately return a request for comment.
