As first reported by Dayton Daily News, Oregon District eatery Culina, which recently rebranded from its original concept of Roost Modern Italian, has announced it is returning to the Roost fine dining concept, name and menu offerings. The restaurant, which is located at 524 E 5th St, in Dayton, in early August made the decision to pivot its original offerings of fine dining to a casual dining and change the concept to Culina by offering a menu that focused on small Italian plates.

The rebrand took place in September, however, chef and owner Dana Downs this week announced that the change back to Roost Modern Italian will happen in the next few weeks, and also with the return to its original concept will be a brunch offering starting in December.

“While the change to the Culina concept from Roost has been well received, our loyal customers have spoken,” an announcement released on the restaurant’s Facebook stated. “So much so, that the decision has been made to return to the Roost Italian offering classic Roost entrees and sneaking in some of Culina’s most popular small plates,” the statement continued.
