According to a recent article on the website 614Now, a group of local entrepreneurs are renovating a historic building and putting in a new wine tasting bar. The business, Uncorked Wine Tastings, will be located at 32 S High St in Dublin. The establishment is owned by Todd Corwin, his wife Jennifer Kuo, and Corwin’s brother, Mark.

The wine bar will feature self dispensing wine machines that will pour from a selection of over 40 bottles, with guests able to purchase full bottles as well as enjoying it by the glass. In addition to the wines, the bar will offer light bites like charcuterie.

What Now Columbus spoke with Todd Corwin about the upcoming concept, which is slated to open next spring. The group’s inspiration to open the concept, along with a second business next door, The Apothecary Cigar and Bourbon Lounge, was a decision they made in 2020. Corwin said he and his brother Mark owned some residential rental properties, but decided to sell them during the pandemic, and around that same time, the historic buildings on South High Street were on the market.

“The buildings were listed and had to be sold as a pair,” Corwin recalled. “We all love history, so we came up with the ideas for the businesses.”

Although the renovations are underway, Corwin said the intention is to keep some of the historical elements, like the exposed rafters that will be visible inside the wine bar, as well as taking some of the wood trusses and repurposing them into tables or other pieces.
