As reported in a Columbus Underground article, Columbus cheesesteak eatery Marlow’s Cheesesteaks has announced its plans to expand and open another location this fall. The new location will open at North Market Downtown, located at 59 Spruce St, and the cheesesteak vendor will replace Willowbeez SoulVeg, which left the market this summer.

Owned by husband and wife and Philadelphia natives Jomar and Shanika Sheppard, the cheesesteak eatery started as a food truck and currently has two brick-and-mortar locations, one located in Gahanna, at 93 N High St, and a presence at Budd Dairy Food Hall, located at 1086 N 4th St, which opened this spring

“We’re excited and honored to be going into the North Market and keep expanding around Columbus,” Jomar Sheppard shared with What Now Columbus

Marlow’s Cheesesteaks serves classic cheesesteaks made with sauteed onions and cheese whiz, as well as several other takes on the iconic sandwich. Some of the other offerings include a vegetarian option, a grilled salmon variation and a loaded cheesesteak, called The Johnny Boy, which features both chicken and steak. There are also seasoned fries, available topped with cheese whiz, or topped with a choice of beef or chicken, plus cheese whiz and sauteed onions.

The exact opening date hasn’t been announced yet, but the eatery is expecting to begin operating at the market by the middle of October. Stay up to date on the opening announcements by following Marlow’s Cheesesteaks on Facebook or Instagram
