A new Vietnamese restaurant is on its way to Columbus, according to a recently filed permit. The eatery, called Pho 2024, will open later this year at 6615 E Broad St. The 2,200 square foot space formerly housed a vape shop and remodeling work will include interior modifications such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing and structural changes, according to language found in the permit filing.

Pho 2024 is owned by husband and wife Vu Ho and Whitney Tran, and Tran tells What Now Columbus that if the construction process goes as planned, the couple hopes to open the eatery around September.

The interior will feature the color orange, along with lots of wood accents, from the tables and chairs to the ceiling, as well as natural touches such as plants and greenery. The seating options will be a mix of chairs and banquette style seating, along with a handful of bar style seats. When you combine these aesthetic details, they’ll pull together what Tran calls “a simple, clean look.”

Of course the menu will feature pho, along with healthy options like spring rolls and rice dishes featuring grilled shrimp or salmon, or chicken or beef flavored with lemongrass, as well as fountain drinks and Vietnamese coffee. The couple are working with a chef to develop the food and drink menu and will fine tune things after they open and get a feel for customer preferences. All in all, the aim is to bring an authentic Vietnamese experience to the area.

“We want to introduce Vietnamese food and culture to the community,” Tran said.
