According to a recent Dayton.com article, Dublin Pub is planning on opening a second location in Huber Heights. Although an exact address hasn’t been released, the eatery will be located on Executive Boulevard, near Rose Music Center. Dublin Pub has been a part of Dayton’s Oregon District food scene for over 20 years and is known for its annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration, selection of Irish and Scotch whiskeys and its pub fare.

The second location will be called Dublin 7 and the new construction restaurant is currently slated to open in late 2025 or early 2026. Although the new location will go by a different name, the eatery’s owner Steve Tieber says Dublin 7 will have an atmosphere and building footprint that’s similar to the Oregon District location.

The original Dublin Pub is around 5,500-square feet and Tieber shared that Dublin 7’s square footage will be comparable, as well as feature a beer garden that is roughly the same square footage as the interior.

“This is something we’ve had planned for 10 years,” Tieber said of the expansion plans.

Tieber went on to explain that he and his wife took a trip to Ireland prior to the pandemic and knew they wanted to replicate some of their experiences from those Irish pubs stateside. One of the things they plan to recreate at Dublin 7 is live music, which is something that can be found in Ireland’s pubs, as well as a “Hofbräuhaus” experience, which is an open-air beer garden space made popular in Bavarian culture, where guests can eat and drink outdoors.

The Dayton eatery serves a selection of whiskeys, along with pints of traditional Irish beers like Guinness and Smithwicks, among others. The food menu ranges from appetizers such as wings and cheese fries, to a potato soup and a number of salads to hearty options like burgers, sandwiches and shepherd’s pie. Tieber said the Dublin 7 menu will have the eatery’s most popular items, like cheese fries and the Ruck sandwich, as well as feature more seafood options and have more gastro pub inspired selections.
