Currently Bar Italia has two Ohio locations in Cleveland, along with two locations in Florida, and the new addition is a special one for the Doody family, renowned for their dedication to the 43-year-old Columbus institution, Lindey’s Restaurant & Bar in German Village.

A collaboration between the family and the team at Steiner + Associates will bring an exceptionally crafted and even greater Bar Italia at Easton. This partnership has been working for many months to come up with an authentic Italian design and feel, with the eatery being located in a space northwest of Easton’s iconic Central Park Fountain in the New District of Easton Town Center, and located across from Cameron Mitchell’s Del Mar Columbus.

“Our team has been working relentlessly with Steiner and Brent LaCount and his team at Design Collective, to make Bar Italia a ‘one of a kind Italian restaurant’ for Easton,” said Rick Doody, CEO and founder at NCR Ventures. “We want this restaurant to feel like an authentic, beautiful Italian restaurant on par with a Cipriani-like venue in New York, London or Paris.”

The interior will feature all authentic materials such as Italian marble, walnut wood, modern Italian furniture and artwork from famed Florence photographer and artist Massimo Listri. Rick’s wife, Wendy Berry-Doody of W Design has designed all NCR restaurants to date, and she is working closely with Brent and Design Collective to create a truly authentic Italian experience.

“Rick and I go visit Italy once or twice a year and have special friends and relationships there that we plan to cultivate in the development of Bar Italia. We have sculptors, artists and culinary chefs that will help us refine and develop the Bar Italia brand even further,” said Wendy Berry-Doody.

“Adding another marquee restaurant to Easton Town Center’s growing North District is a culinary win, especially when it’s a concept developed by renowned restauranteur Rick Doody,” said Yaromir Steiner, Founder and CEO of Steiner + Associates.

From handcrafted pastas to meticulously sourced ingredients, every aspect of Bar Italia has been designed to offer an authentic taste of Italy, through a menu that features wood-fired pizzas, pastas, desserts, cocktails and a curated wine list.

The restaurant will open its doors in 2025, inviting its guests to experience a new level of Italian dining. Find the restaurant on Facebook or Instagram to stay up to date with the progress of its Columbus location.
