New York based sandwich shop DiBella’s Subs will open a new location at 4980 E Dublin Granville Rd. in Westerville, according to a recent permit filing. This will be the third DiBella’s Subs to open in the Columbus area.
The new location will be approximately 2,800 square feet and it will be the first store with a pickup window that allows guests to drive up and pick up orders placed by phone or online.
AJ Shear, Director of Marketing for DiBella’s Subs, tells What Now Columbus that the decision to expand to a third location in Columbus came down to the opportunity presenting itself, and the sandwich chain’s popularity with the local community.
“We’re always looking for new opportunities in the Columbus area. It’s been a great market for us,” Shear said.
DiBella’s Subs is known for their submarine style sandwiches served on freshly-baked bread. According to its website, the sandwich eatery started as a family-run market in Rochester, New York almost 100 years ago and has evolved to a sub shop that, as of today, can be found in five states, New York, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Connecticut. The menu features sub sandwiches that range from the meaty godfather, made with Genoa salami, Capicola and spicy ham, to an albacore tuna sub as well as a meatless, veggie only sub.
