Homestead Beer Co. is coming to East Market at 212 Kelton Ave, according to recent reporting. The announcement comes as the Trolley District market has recently received an influx of new vendors moving in over the coming months. With four existing locations in Marysville, Heath, Newark and Canal Winchester, Homestead Beer Co.’s move to the East Market will expand its reach to a whole new part of Columbus.

What Now Columbus spoke with Homestead Beer Co. owner Adam Rhodes, who shared that the timeline for opening the East Market location is currently flexible and is dependent on permitting.

For the East Market location, they’ll be sharing space with Barrel & Boar, who also recently announced it will open a location at the market.

The plan is to offer the beers in to-go form, available as growler and crowler fills, with the taps that will be onsite, as well as a cooler space that will feature a selection of canned beers. The amount of canned selections typically hovers around 14 different beers, depending on the time of year, Rhodes said.

Although guests can expect some of the beer offerings found at the other four locations, there will also be a brew that’s exclusive to the East Market location.

“We will be producing a limited series available at East Market,” Rhodes promised.

He further explained the limited brews are made relying on the wort process and then will be transferred and allowed to ferment on premise. This process allows the brewery to produce beer specific to each location.
