According to recent reporting, one Dayton area Dunkin’ Donuts will receive a major refresh that includes additions like a double drive-thru, new colors and materials that are in line with the chain’s latest branding, as well as upgrades including a new tap system for cold beverages such as nitro and a new customer-facing bakery display case at the 9010 S Main St location in Centerville. Due to the extent of the remodeling work, the establishment will be closed for approximately six to eight weeks in order to complete the upgrades.

With the tagline “America Runs on Dunkin’,” the donut chain lives up to the statement, by expanding from its beginnings in Quincy, Massachusetts in 1948, to currently over 9,000 locations throughout the U.S. Carrying every type of donut from classic glazed to cake style, the food menu also features bagels, breakfast sandwiches, muffins and hash browns.

In addition to selling the sweet baked goods, the donut chain has also established itself in the coffee market, selling both ready made java beverages at its stores, as well as bagged coffee beans and K-cup pods, available in Dunkin’ stores as well as grocery and retail chains throughout the country.

The Centerville Dunkin’ Donuts is operated by The Gilligan Company, an Ohio-based company that serves as a franchisor for Subway, Popeyes and Dunkin’ Donuts in addition to operating several convenience store chains.
