According to recent reporting, Dayton area breakfast and lunch spot Blue Berry Cafe is making plans to move to a new location. The cafe is currently located at 72 Bellbrook Plaza in Bellbrook and will relocate to 129 W Franklin St, also in Bellbrook. The move comes due to Blue Berry Cafe’s owners Kelley Andary and Ray Jean being unable to reach a lease agreement with their current landlord.

The eatery announced on its Facebook page that it will temporarily close later this month in order to complete the move. Andary tells What Now Columbus that the timeline for reopening will be determined by the permitting process, but the owners hope to reopen as quickly as possible. Andary and Jean are aiming to reopen the business by February or early March, but know the timing is largely outside of their control.

Blue Berry Cafe has applied for a full  alcohol license, since the new space will have a bar, which will have seating for around eight guests, Andary said. The total seating capacity inside the eatery will be about 80, with a patio that can seat an additional 20 people. Also coming to the new location is the addition of a retail area that will feature kitchen and gift items, such as Boston Stoker Coffee Co. branded mugs as well as wine glasses.

Guests can still expect to find their favorite menu items at the new location including pancakes, omelets and burgers.
