What Now Columbus spoke with the Pizzawala franchisee, who shared that the restaurant will function as a carryout facility, but there will be a small seating area in the lobby for guests to sit while they wait for their food. The buildout for the space is scheduled to begin next week, with the anticipated timeline for opening some time in May, the franchisee said.
Started in Michigan, Pizzawala’s isn’t your typical pizza joint. The restaurant focuses on marrying flavors found in traditional Indian cuisine with pizzas. Menu choices include pies like vegan and vegetarian options such as spicy vegetable and margherita and meat options including chicken tikka and butter chicken. Guests can also find boneless and bone-in wings in flavors like tandoori.
