According to recent reporting, Columbus tea business Posh Teatime Co. is making plans to open its first brick and mortar location this year at 2918 E Main St, in Bexley, in the former home of BeYoutyFit Nutrition smoothie shop. The brick and mortar will provide guests with an upscale tea experience, serve pastries and food as well as offer etiquette classes.

Owner and CEO of Posh Teatime Co. Ella Williams tells What Now Columbus that the new space will be approximately 1,900 square feet and able to accommodate around 50 guests. Williams said she hopes to open by July, but the opening timeline depends on how things unfold during the interior buildout phase.
Williams shared that the brick and mortar will be closed for public tea and food service on Tuesday and Wednesday, but those days will be earmarked for education. The classes are targeted at educating youth as well as adults on topics ranging from etiquette, home economics and general life skills.
The desire to equip young adults in the community stems from Williams’ own experience as an emancipated minor who had to figure out ‘adulting’ mostly on her own at a young age.
“I saw the gap that’s there,” Williams said of her experience.
And Williams not only has the life experience to draw upon, but she also recently received a certification from the International Etiquette and Protocol Academy of London. With credentials like that, guests can expect to be immersed in an experience that’s as luxurious as it is aesthetically pleasing the moment they walk through the doors of the shop.
“The decor will feature pastels, florals and a feminine aesthetic,” Williams said.
When it comes to the menu, the brick and mortar will offer Parisian, English and Moroccan teas, with each style of tea served in the traditional manner associated with each regional style. Additionally there will be lattes, coffee and sweets, such as macarons and chocolates, as well as a fusion of Moroccan and American soul food. And since Posh Teatime Co. is a Muslim owned company, the establishment will serve halal food.
Williams said the company will soon launch a crowdfunding campaign on its website and social media to help with costs associated with the interior buildout.
