According to a recently filed permit with the City of Columbus, one area White Castle may receive a slight exterior tweak. The White Castle restaurant located at 3751 S Hamilton Rd, in Groveport, is set to undergo exterior improvements that include upgraded signage in its drive-thru. The permit language states that the location is set to receive installation of a new three piece drive-thru architectural canopy over the drive-thru on the right side of the building’s elevation.

Founded over 100 years ago by Billy Ingram in 1921, the eatery quickly saw success with multiple locations, making White Castle the world’s first fast food chain, according to information on the company’s website

The most popular item on the eatery’s menu is the small square burgers, known as sliders, served with or without cheese, or with additional toppings like bacon. Additional sliders are available made with chicken or fish.

Other menu selections include chicken rings, which are like chicken nuggets in a ring shape, as well as breakfast options like a breakfast slider and breakfast toast sandwich. Sides include fries, mozzarella sticks and onion rings, as well as a selection of fountain drinks and milkshakes.
