There are two Donatos Pizza eateries located at the John Glenn Columbus International Airport, one that opened in 2018 in the Delta terminal, or Concourse C, and one in the Southwest terminal, or Concourse A, which opened for service at the airport in 2013. Both Donatos locations are franchised by Touchstone Hospitality, and is led by founder and president Robert Lee III. What Now Columbus spoke with Lee, who shared some of the renovations coming to the Donatos Pizza in Concourse A.

“It’s primarily cosmetic,” he began of the work planned. “But we’re also upgrading the reach-in cooler that holds sandwiches, salads, and sodas to a larger unit, we’re adding additional seating as well as a railed seating area that faces the concourse, similar to the seating area at the Delta terminal.”

Some of the other work includes some tilework and lighting upgrades, along with a brand refresh that includes adding a large pepperoni affixed to a wood wall.

With the exception of the years when travel was impacted due to the pandemic, Lee said that Donatos Pizza has grown each year since the eateries became part of the offerings at the airport and with the brand refresh and upgrades, he expects that trend to continue.

“This innovation will allow us to do an even better job and make people’s day brighter with some great pizza,” Lee said of the planned renovations.
