Although he has broke the news that the eatery is moving, Thompson tells What Now Columbus that he isn’t ready to share an exact address just yet, since the new space is under contract but he has not yet closed on the location. Thompson did share that the new location will be open year round, offer more space, with seating for no more than 50 guests, as well as a market section that will sell Italian goods.

“It will have a European feel, and we’re looking toward some vintage decor inside. The outside seating area will have a European sidewalk cafe look.”

In terms of the menu, there are plans to expand the offerings. Italian cuisine will remain, with the addition of what Thompson calls “country comfort food” like pork chops, chicken and dumplings, country steak and baked macaroni and cheese with bacon. There will also be a larger dessert selection with items like homemade pies and pastries making an appearance, and the Urbana location will also feature a full bar.

Currently, Thompson is aiming to open the Urbana location in early November. Until that time, Eatly will continue to operate at its Springfield location with Friday, Saturday and Sunday hours, but once the move is complete, the new location will be open five days a week.
