According to a permit filed with the city, a new Chick-fil-A location could be on its way to Polaris. The permit details work for construction of a new Chick-fil-A, to be located at 1515 Polaris Pkwy. While details such as square footage or seating capacity are not listed in the permit filing, there is information that indicates the new location will have an outdoor dining area and indoor playland, with a projected job value of $800,000 for the construction of the new restaurant.

A Chick-fil-A representative shared with What Now Columbus that provided the project meets permitting approval and construction of the Polaris Parkway location is completed, the new restaurant would replace the eatery at 8787 Sancus Blvd, which is located roughly one mile away.

Established in 1967 by founder Truett Cathy, the Georgia based eatery has grown over the years to a thriving chain with over 3,000 locations throughout 48 U.S. states, Canada and Puerto Rico, according to information on its website.

The chain is known for its crispy chicken, waffle fries and lemonade as well as its double drive-thrus, which are a staple at many of the newer and recently renovated locations. Menu selections feature grilled or fried chicken, which guests can opt to be served up on a bun, in a wrap, or a biscuit. There are also options to include the infamous chicken in a salad or served as nuggets or strips.

A few breakfast options include the chicken biscuit and breakfast burrito. In addition to the sandwiches, wraps, salads and waffle fries, guests can find soft serve ice cream options like milkshakes and cones, as well as sweet treats such as brownies.
