As first reported by Dayton Daily News, Xenia donut shop Glazed Donut eatery is making plans to open a second location this fall, at 3800 Colonel Glenn Hwy, near Wright State University. Owner Clay Fillinger tells What Now Columbus that they’re currently in the midst of obtaining all the approvals for the second location, but he says everything is moving quickly.

Currently, the new store is aiming to open by November, with the Colonel Glenn Highway location to be operated by Fillinger’s mother, Vicki Seiler-Cushman, who will be the store’s manager. Although some details, such as the seating capacity, haven’t been finalized yet, Fillinger said the second location will feature more bench seating than its Xenia location.

In terms of the menu offerings, guests should expect to find the same items that are on the Xenia menu. The donut and baked goods flavors and offerings rotate based on seasonality, but some staples of the menu are cake donuts in flavors like blueberry and devil’s food chocolate, as well as filled yeast donuts and of course, classic glazed donuts.

Other baked goods include muffins, fritters, cinnamon rolls, cookies and more. Drink options include milks, pops, juices and drip coffee. The establishment plans to host a grand opening celebration, so stay up to date on all the opening details by following Glazed Donut Eatery on Facebook.
