The sandwich shop Si Señor is making plans to open another location, according to a recent permit filing with the city. The new location will be at 155 W Nationwide Blvd in the arena district, across the street from Nationwide Arena. Currently, the eatery has a sandwich shop at 1456 W 5th Ave in Upper Arlington. The permit is for alterations to an existing building and is projected to cost $100,000.

Served on grinder style bread, Si Señor offers a variety of sandwiches, made with a number of proteins, including meat and fish, and vegetarian offerings, such as portabella mushroom. In addition to sandwiches, the menu also includes soup and salads, as well as sides and desserts, including flan and tres leches cake, and sides like chips and pasta salad.

The eatery is owned by Guillermo Perez, who was born in Peru but has been in the Columbus restaurant scene for years, and opened Si Señor in 2010, according to a recent Columbus area news article

According to Perez, the arena district spot will feature a more streamlined menu, at least at first while the team gets a feel for the space and location. The location will be ran by partners of Perez, who he will train on the recipes and methods used at their Upper Arlington location.

Perez told What Now Columbus that although he’s hoping for a November launch, the timeline for opening is currently flexible, since there are still some interior cosmetic improvements to be done, construction of the hood system is underway and permitting is still in process.
