The new larger location will allow for more equipment like more ovens and decorating space, as well as a case filled with items like cupcakes, cookies and brownies.

According to recent reporting, a Dayton area bakery called Simply Decadent is making plans to move from its current home at 108 W Franklin St, in Bellbrook, to a new space located across the street at 137 W Franklin St. With the move, the family owned bakery will nearly double its space, which means the new store will be equipped with more ovens, a walk-in fridge and the larger area will also allow the bakery to bring back a customer favorite: the bakery case.

The bakery is owned by Jackie Fuller, her mother Adonica Collins-Smith and Fuller’s mother-in-law Debby Fuller. Four years ago, due to pandemic related restrictions, the trio of owners pulled the bakery case from their current location and moved to a pre-order business model. Although they haven’t re-implemented the case in their current space, they’re excited to bring it back with the larger new location.

“Besides having more kitchen and decorating space, we’ll have the case filled with pick up and to go items,” Jackie Fuller shared with What Now Columbus in a phone interview.

The offerings will rotate weekly based on what the bakery is making, seasonality and other factors, but guests should find things ranging from cheesecake slices and cupcakes to oatmeal cream pies, cookies and brownies in the bakery case.

Simply Decadent offers special order items like custom cakes and cookies, and with the bakery case offering grab and go items, there isn’t plans to offer seating at the new location, but the owners are planning to use the larger space to pursue some educational opportunities.

“We’re hoping to offer cookie and cake decorating classes some time after we’ve opened,” said Fuller.

A specific opening date hasn’t been shared yet, but the team is planning to complete the move next month. Stay up to date with the relocation by following the business on Facebook.
